COVID Update for the Week of December 6th.We have seen an increase from last week. Students- we have 4 new positive cases. Which for the year brings our total to 7. We have had to exclude an average of 9 students this week. The good news is the test to stay has really helped with keeping students in classes. Teachers- We have had 0 new positive cases this week. This brings our total to 5.
The Centennial students did a fantastic job at the Christmas concert this week! Thank you Julie Lennon and staff for coordinating the event.
Just a Reminder....tonight's High school Girls Basketball game at Fulton has a start time of 5:30 and is Varsity only.
Mrs. Ditzler’s class is doing the 12 days of kindness. They have a committee of students creating a cards to show appreciation.
Polo Football State Shirt order forms are available in the Polo High School office. Orders are due back with payment by Thursday December 9th to the High school.

The celebration for the Polo Marcos 8 man football State Champions will be held on Sunday 11/28 at 7 pm in the PCHS gym. This will be open for everyone to attend.
Polo High school Wrestling practice scheduled for today 11/24 has been cancelled.

COVID Update for the week of November 22nd.
We are starting to see our numbers rise. We had 4.5 students excluded. We still only have one positive case for the year. We had 2 positive cases this week. That brings us to a total of 3 positive cases for the year.

IHSA new rule:
Attention Jr/Sr High Parents: Due to the higher numbers across the county, Ogle County Health Department and Illinois Department of Public Health provided a Winter Sports Policy Q&A issuing parameters for athletes in the COVID protocol. This update states any unvaccinated student in testing protocol after a close contact exposure may remain in school and participate in extracurricular practices, provided tests are negative. However, to avoid mixing cohorts of students from area schools, students in testing protocol may not participate in competitions or games during the 7-day period. If your son or daughter participates in extracurricular activities, please discuss the impact of this new update and encourage students to continue masking at all times.
