This year Aplington is using student artwork for the front and back covers of our yearbook. Aubrey Herndon's drawing will be used for the front. Paola Abarca's drawing will be used for the back cover. Congratulations and great job to both ladies on a job well done!

Yesterday was the 100th Day of School! Mrs. Plock's kindergarten class made special hats to celebrate!
Junior High Girls Basketball schedule changes: Tomorrow, Jan. 30th 6th grade will play Dixon at CN 4pm. 7th and 8th grade will play Dixon at Reagan Middle School at 4pm.
On February 27th the 6th grade girls basketball will play Pecatonica at Pecatonica at 4pm. 7th & 8th grade will play Pecatonica at CN at 4pm.
Centennial PreK teachers, Mrs. Moring and Mrs. Faivre, put together a night of family fun on Wednesday at Centennial School. Families of PreK students got to enjoy snacks, hot cocoa, games, and activities together.

Boys Basketball game vs. Fulton is cancelled and is rescheduled for Monday, Feb 12th.
Scholastic bowl home meet vs, Milledgeville is cancelled and is rescheduled for Thursday, January 25. 4:00 start time
Wrestling has been cancelled there will be no practice.
JH Activities are still as scheduled for this afternoon. JH Wrestling will be at Byron at 4pm, bus time 2:50pm. 6GBB will be traveling to Pecatonica for a 4pm game, bus time 2:50pm. 7/8GBB will have a home game against Pecatonica starting at 4pm, athletes arrive by 3:30pm.
Due to road conditions not improving Polo Community School District will be moving to an e-learning day Monday, January 22nd, 2024. This Cancels the 2 hour-delay.
Due to the Icy Conditions Polo Community School District will have a 2 hour Delay Monday, January 22nd, 2024. The High school and Middle School with start at 10:10 a.m. with Centennial starting at 10:15 a.m.
The Illinois State Scholars for Polo Community High School were honored at the school board meeting on January 17, 2024. Those in attendance were Sydnei Rahn, Karlea Fry, and Alex Albano. Josh Conway was unable to attend. Congratulations to our State Scholars! We are proud of you!
For tomorrow's high school girls basketball game, varsity will play first at 6 with two JV quarters to follow.
The two cancelled JH Wrestling meets have been rescheduled.

Both matches will take place at Aplington Middle School.
Today, Centennial had our 2024 Spelling Bee. Jace McKenna was our champion with the winning word "practice." Jeremiah Christen is our runner up. The Regional Spelling Bee will be February 23rd. Great job to all of the spellers!
